Reduce the appearance of fine lines and brighten dull skin.

Exfoliate the top layer of dulling dead skin cells to reveal a smoother and brighter complexion.

Dermaplaning uses an ultra-sharp surgical blade to gently scrape the outer layers of dead, dull skin cells. A non-invasive treatment, Dermaplaning effectively removes very fine (peach fuzz) hair that is commonly found on the face, reduces the appearance of fine lines, brightens dull skin, reduces pigment irregularities, and stimulates collagen production and skin tightness.

Am I a good candidate?

ANSWER: The licensed aesthetician’s at Aesthetic Artistry MedSpa will analyze your skin prior to treatment and determine if you are a candidate for dermaplaning. If you have found your skin is sensitive for a mircrodermabrasion, dermaplaning may work best for you.

What happens during a Dermaplaning Treatment?

ANSWER: During your dermaplaning treatment, a sterile surgical blade gently scrapes the skin surface, removing dead skin and vellus hair (peach fuzz) on the face. The treatment leaves skin ultra smooth and bright.

Will the hair on my face grow back darker or thicker?

ANSWER: No. The structure of your hair follicle does not change by manipulating the hair only on the surface. Dermaplaning removes peach fuzz, but not permanently.

How long does the treatment last?

ANSWER: The entire treatment lasts 45-60 minutes.

What pre and post treatment care is necessary?

ANSWER: Discontinue any exfoliating products including serums, scrubs, retinol night creams and topical prescriptions for at least five days prior to and five days after the dermaplaning treatment. It is very important to apply sunscreen daily after this treatment, as skin will be more sensitive to the sun’s damaging rays.
